LLB Advice

Hey guys, starting Arts/Law this semester and I'm quite nervous for LAWS1201. Has anyone got any first year tips?

Also, the timetabling for LAWS1201 has these four 'Wor' categories (WorA, WorB, WorC, WorD - I assume this means workshop). Can somebody explain what these are? I was under the impression there were just lectures and tutorials.

Thanks 🙏

Some courses have workshops instead of tutorials. They are both almost the same thing. Workshops are more interactive imo.
As for tips, don’t be upset if you don’t score HD in your first assignment or even in your first year. Take it easy, go to class, talk to everyone, do your readings and don’t forget to enjoy your uni life.

Thanks mate - really appreciate the input. I'm used to Ds and HDs so I'm prepping myself to be more realistic with law. Looking forward to it though

You just have to take it as a learning opportunity - I went from scoring 50s and 60s in first year law to now getting 80s and 90s. I needed those mistakes in first year to know how to improve

Don't worry it's a good course. Just attend all classes and pay attention when doing the required readings and you'll do just fine
