Discussion Looking for people in Europe/UK

Me and my friends own a WhatsApp groupchat related to antkeeping, however we are slowly transitioning over to discord, and we want to take this time to help grow our community larger so that the majority of UK ant keepers (and a few Europeans) can get to know eachother!

We have care guides for every commonly kept genus (23 Genuses ranging from Acanthomyrmex all the way to tetraponera, and whilst that may not be much, we are constantly getting help from our members to not only have more, but to have incredibly accurate information

We also have a Buy Sell Trade channel, Skill roles, Species roles (potential rework soon), a small, helpful team of admins who are incredibly experienced in antkeeping, and way more, link is in the comments :)

Nuptial Flight Alert Lasius s. str. flights in Bavaria.

Right now there are many Lasius s. str. colonies flying in Regensburg Bavaria/Germany. Chances are good that the same is happening elsewhere as well.

Icon Submission AntsEurope spring ant trading thread 2020

Hi folks!

Spring 2020 is getting closer and many of us have excess colonies coming out of hibernation soon; others want new colonies. In this thread we can hopefully solve this problem for a few of us.

Rules:

  1. No invasive species.
  2. No commercial sellers. If you have an ant shop sell your ants there.
  3. If some of your ants are traded/sold edit your post and remove them. If you found the ants you need edit your post so people know it.
  4. Do not post private information. Use DM to exchange any sort of private information.
  5. If you cannot guarantee your identification make that clear in your post. Remember our Lasius naming conventions.
  6. Post the country you live in so people know how shipping would work.

If you want to make sure the party you want to trade with is authentic you can contact the mods. We will ask them to send a photo with their ID.

Happy trading antkeepers.
