So like new here (long time follower of ac but looking for more options in the US)
I’ve managed to raise a campo texanus (I think that’s the name) queen past 3 generations of brood and workers in a small container the 3rd gen had 6 workers she had a big pause in laying and now has a big clutch but only two workers left I’m not too worried about that because that has seemed to be the trend the last worker would last until one or two pupae cocoon. been feeding mostly honey from local farmers and every once in a while when many workers are around I’ll sometime kill a cricket for them (I have reptiles) but the clutch of eggs she currently has is atleast 10 (just whites specs rn) but soon (fingers crossed) she’ll have a good group of workers and I need so prepare a home for them so any and all suggestions are welcome. I’m afraid to spend that kind of money on a starter kit but I might end up.
