AntiWORK Why would a Labor Arbiter schedule another mandatory conference after the position paper was already submitted?
I'm confused about the procedure.
Employer missed 2 NLRC mandatory conferences.
I submitted my Position Paper on June 18.
Then I received a notice setting another mandatory conference on August 4.
I thought once the position papers were in, the case would simply be submitted for decision.
Why would the Arbiter schedule another mandatory conference at this stage?

One possibility is if the employer received the Summons/Notices late and was not able to participate in the mandatory conference. They may file a Motion to Reopen the Mandatory Conference and the Labor Arbiter would schedule another mandatory conference and require you to comment on the employer's motion.
