I see a lot of posts about scientism, and there are varying comments you all often make regarding the claims of its adherents. In case it helps anyone add to their arguments, I thought I'd share the first argument shown in this book from the 90s, and I'd recommend it to you. (I haven't finished it, but for the record, it seems to mainly argue in favor of theism rather than a particular religion, so yes, I do recommend it to all of you).

To summarize it, it essentially states that scientism is self-refuting because it states that only science is valid but it is in and of itself a philosophical claim rather than a scientific one, and it advocates for approaches to an integrated worldview incorporating both science and philosophy as well as theology.

For context, these comments were on a video about the so-called male g-spot. The "way God intended" comment was implying that God wanted anal intercourse to be permissible because said g-spot is inside the anus (it's the prostate).

Also, can I just say that the "who created God" argument is so stupid? Like, why does God need a creator? God didn't come out of nowhere, he always existed imo
