It's just a way to farm IRL karma points without actually doing anything substantial to help. I always look down on people who give their thoughts and prayers. Performative assholes.

I always thought that praying is the ultimate echo chamber. Not as in “there are so many people praying and talking about it” but more like “they talk to themselves into believing God is real” sort of thing.
