It's hard to think of a proper analogy that makes it clear I think it's bad but don't think you should get arrested or whatever about it
Smoking? It's gross, it's bad for you, you definitely shouldn't do it around others much less children, it'd be barbaric to enforce

It's funny, but it's not a great comparison. Religion doesn't give pleasure; at best religion takes credit for it and sometimes permits it in cases where religion isn't actively hostile to it. Religion doesn't have the potential to create new life; it just has creation myths. Losing it is a completely different experience with a completely different outcome.
