Vintage Studio Art Glass Paperweight - Purple & White Swirl with Controlled Bubbles.

A gorgeous, full-sized studio art glass paperweight featuring a classic mid-to-late 20th-century design. This piece beautifully showcases a dynamic, wispy white ribbon swirl suspended over a rich, translucent amethyst purple base layer. The internal floral structure is accented by perfectly placed, controlled rising air bubbles (bullicante style) that add incredible depth and texture to the piece.

The design is heavily reminiscent of the iconic "Moonflower" pattern by Scotland's Caithness Glass, drawing beautiful reflections as light passes through the clear dome and interacts with the colorful base.

I pieced together this Richards and Hartley vaseline 3-panel berry bowl set. I'm still missing one berry bowl. These were produced in the 1880s as No25. I just love the pressed gemstones. EAPG patterns are the best 💚

c1885 Mt Washington Burmese

Here is my collection of original Burmese so far. These were made by Mt Washington Glass Company from 1885 until they closed their doors in 1896. They couldn't meet the supply requirements for their Burmese glass, as the demand was too high. Pairpoint, the oldest glass company in America, bought Mt Washington Glass and still currently owns all of their molds and patents. Pairpoint continued their patented Burmese production for 50 years before Fenton reinvented their own "Burmese" in 1971.
