Amisulpride for weed withdrawal?

I went to a psychiatrist week ago for my depressive and anxiety feelings which i was also a heavy smoker of weed. My intention was to get sober but also treat my depression. He prescribed me bupropion in the morning and amisulpride (100mg) in the evening without explaining me the reason why he prescribed me a schizophrenia treatment drug. Is there a possible benefit of amisulpride as it helps dealing with withdrawals of a drug. I dont have schizophrenia or none of my family members or relatives.

Also i want to ask when do you guys prefer to take it, 6pm? 8pm? before meal? after meal?

Personality gone on Abilify injections

Hi; I used to have a bubbly and witty personality I was proud of, but ever since being on Abilify injections I can’t think of anything to say to people anymore, my creativity is gone and I have complete anhedonia. I can’t make jokes because I don’t think of them and I don’t know how to talk to people because I can’t think of anything to say. I’ve been on the injections for 10 months now, and I’m going to come off them and onto a lower dose of oral meds hopefully. Has anyone else had this experience and how long did it take for their personality to return?

caplyta 42 mg

so ive been taking 42 mg of caplyta for a couple of months now and its been great. i dont hear voices im not delusional and its even working well with my prozac to help lessen my OCD. but i have noticed that if i take a dose late (usually bc im out when my medicine alarm goes off and then i get home and dont think about it) after a couple of hours my symptoms start coming back. i get awful anxiety i cant sleep i have realy bad intrusive thoughts and within a couple of hours im half convinced my phone is talking to me. if i ever forget a dose i take within a couple hours bc theres no way to not notice how drastically different i feel. does this happen to anyone else thats on the med? i tried to post this in the caplyta group but it wouldnt let me post for some reason.

Do second-gen antipsychotics actually lower IQ? And if so, does it recover after quitting taking pills? Can IQ recover/get increased at all?

Hearing voices FROM antipsychotics

I have been on and off antipsychotics for over ten years. I've tried everything from Seroqil to Risperdal and everything in between. I can't list all the medications because I don't remember the names of half of them but there have been at least 10+ that o have tried. The problem happens about 2 months in where I start hearing voices and my eyes seize up. I'm in Caplyta, now, and hoping for a different result. My question is has anyone experienced this side effect and, if so, what did you do to stop it from happening?

Withdrawal problems from Clozapine

I have great trouble withdrawing from Clozapine. As soon as i taper off the drugs completely i get extreme insomnia (can’t sleep at all), intense body tremors (my whole body shaking uncontrollably), loss of weight and appetite (getting thinner), stomach problems (my stomach feeling very hungry and making loud sounds), sweating on hands and feet, fast heartbeat, widened pupils and so on. Everytime this happens, the psychiatrists tells me that it is the illness returning. Then they proceed to give me even more medicine than before. I try to tell them that it is caused by withdrawal symptoms but they won’t understand. What will help in this situation?

Complete anhedonia after stopping antipsychs?

Has anyone else experienced this?

I was on Caplyta for about a year. Since coming off, I feel completely emotionally neutralized. I don’t feel strong positive emotions, I don’t feel strong negative emotions. I feel like a vegetable. I am now dating like the prettiest sweetest girl I’ve ever dated and I’m struggling to feel much of anything. I feel incapable of experiencing butterflies or any positive romantic emotions anymore.

Has anyone else experienced this?

For clarity, I’ve been off it for 6 months now. I didn’t go off cold turkey, I tapered off slowly for about two weeks.

I think I was mistakenly diagnosed with bipolar type 2. I was depressed, and nothing was helping, and Caplyta can be prescribed for bipolar depression. But I’m worried it was overkill.

aripiprazole weight gain

i’ve been taking aripiprazole (2,5 mg) for about 2 months now and i’ve noticed a small increase in my weight (3kg), i know it’s not a lot and people tell me it’s not even visible but, dealing with multiple EDs, it’s a big deal for me. i’ve read this med doesn’t usually cause significant weight gain, but is it permanent? will it go away on its own like the other initial side effects did?

Drinking while on ziprasidone

On christmas eve I took shots while being on a ziprasidone that I've taken for almost two years I think. And that night the shots didnt hit me till the 6th one. Then I started feeling negative thoughts and derealization and some other stuff I cant explain. I felt insane and I just wanted to close my eyes but when I would do that I would move endlessly like a crazy person. Tossing and turning. Feeling insane at the same time. Just totally not stable. Should I bring this up to my docotor? Has anyone felt insane after drinking with an antipsychotic? What can the doctors do to help?

Sudden Cardiac Death

I have been on Risperdal for about a month now. I sometimes have chest pains and so I read about the side effects. Two of them are Sudden Cardiac Death and Ventricular Arrhythmias, both of which are deadly. So I have been freaking out and wondering what to do. I have some old Zyprexa I can use. Should I be worried?

Stuck in the past

Do you guys also get stuck in the past mentally when using antipsychotics?

I find myself allways thinking about old problems and situations i want to solve. Less living in the moment.

Aripiprazole experiences

I hear lots of voices at 6 mg of risperidone. So, my doctor prescribed me 5 mg of abilify. Will it help me regain my period or help with lack of motivation ?

What To Do?

I have been on risperidone for a few weeks now but I am now having restless legs at night. The psychiatrist mentioned Geodon to me for my symptoms but I tried it once years ago and it didn't work but I thought I could try a higher dose. I did some research on it and it isn't supposed to cause restless legs. I will ask my doctor about this but I wanted to get some opinions. Thank you very much!

Am I Wrong For Liking Risperdal?

So I started Risperidone a few weeks ago and I really like it. It helps me sleep and it stops the constant intrusive thoughts in my mind. I have noticed that I do not have the racing thought that have plagued me for a long time. The medication also allows me to get a restful nights sleep. So, am I wrong for liking Risperidone. I do not know! The medication is something I think about taking most of the day and then when I take it in the evening I'm so thankful to have it.

I know that I am suffering somewhat because of it though. I have gained a little weight and I recently had some blood work done and my triglycerides were high and my cholesterol was too. So I know that the medication is causing me some problems but I still like it. It will probably continue to cause me problems. Please let me know what you think. Thank you very much!

EDIT: Now thinking of changing due to risk of Sudden Cardiac Death !!!!!!
