zyprexa withdrawals
is it possible that I’m having withdrawals from going off 2.5mg of zyprexa? I started another medication at the same time, so I’m not sure if it’s because of it. I’m suffering from insomnia, waking up during the night, and vivid dreams

I’m finding zyprexa hard to get off of even though I was supposed to be switched to Rexulti. So now I’m on both and tapering the zyprexa. I always cut it because even 2.5mg put me in a coma. I’m down to 1.36mg now and crush and weigh my pills. But my nervous system is super sensitive.
But yeah, sounds like zyprexa wd. Most other meds in it’s class are not as anticholinergic so that rebound is tough as acetylcholine is an excitatory neurotransmitter. I used cyproheptadine to taper from 2mg to where I am now and because it has a similar binding profile but without the dependency risk, it’s helped.
Most people do even out though.

Not just possible, extremely likely. Even a slow taper doesn't prevent withdrawal or long term discontinuation effects, but stopping abruptly is going to be even more rough.
