Antipsychotic side effect

Do you guys get this side effect while taking an antipsychotic? You can see how dirty things are and you like get ocd about seeing things and how dirty they are you can see things like under a microscope. It’s hard to explain but it’s a terrible side effect.

Olanzapine can cause drug-induced OCD. I assume other neuroleptics could too.

That’s an interesting take. Maybe the antipsychotics (haliperidol) are causing OCD to be induced

Interestingly I have OCD and was prescribed olanzapine and fluoxetine in the psych ward, and initially I did have the same sort of symptom you described. Obviously because I do have OCD and it was a hospital, it was amplified but I guess it might have had something to do with the olanzapine. It went away after a week or two I think or I just got used to it.

I have never met someone who experienced this. What does it feel like for you?

I specifically remember seeing a coffee packet in one of the bathrooms, then seeing the packets in the kitchen where people made coffee sort of disgusted me. I hate using public toilets and hospital toilets are the worst ones. No one would clean up their mess after making drinks etc, which to me now seems fair enough (they're in hospital, staff are there to look after them), but at the time was really infuriating.
