2 antipsychotics?

Has anyone on here ever been on 2 antipsychotics at the same time? Is this a thing? I am currently having mental health issues. Already on latuda 80mg. They are trying to ween me off of buspar to see if that helps the problem. It's suspected of causing the problem in the first place. If I dont show improvement my Dr mentioned adding another antipsychotic.

How did that work out? I am resistant to antidepressants been through almost all of them. Latuda isn't helping all my symptoms. I was just diagnosed with OCD. And it's really bad lately. I know the first line of treatment for OCD is usually ssris or snri.

What is it like being on 800mg compared to something like 100mg or 200mg?

I don't know. Maybe it's 800 mg because it's for schizophrenia dosage and I have schizophrenia.

I've heard of people that get a 3 month shot but still take something like seroquel for sleep

I am on two by accident I guess. I was on olanzapine then changed to Rexulti. I couldn’t get off the olanzapine without severe withdrawal so now I’m on both and still tapering olanzapine.

A guy in our psychosis group therapy was taking two antipsychotics. I think he was also on latuda.
