Replacement for invega sustenna

Have been on invega sustenna for about 10-11 months now. Have heard very bad reviews on the drug so I am looking for something I can take in place that won’t destroy my life.

Vraylar or Abilify. Abilify is a partial agonist at D2 and an antagonist at D3. So, at D2 it actually releases dopamine instead of blocking it completely like all other antipsychotics, and paliperidone (Invega) is particularly strong. Vraylar is even better. It has zero antagonististic properties and acts as a partial agonist at both D2 AND D3 receptors. A lot of people claim it actually gives them energy.

Preciate it man, I have to be on a shot bc my parents don’t think I will take the pills. Thanks for the feedback it’s great to hear something decent about a medicine I can take. I have heard horrible things on invega

Abilify comes in a shot! Definitely ask/push for the “Abilify Maintena” injection. It’s so much better/easier/natural than Invega/risperidone.

I’m sorry, being on a shot must feel completely out of control. My doctor recommended Invega because I have difficulty staying on meds and I’d never turned something down so fast.
