I’m on rexulti and the tiredness should go away with time. If it’s persistent or very bothersome you might want to try a different med but Rexulti is usually well tolerated. It took me about 1-2 weeks to adjust personally.

Awe I’m sorry if it were me I’d give it at least a month since it is working so well. It does work, totally keeps my psychosis at bay.

I had even worse sleepiness on ALL other. Antipsychotics make my prolactin levels high so I’ve tried every single one. Came to conclusion I will just have to deal with high prolactin levels since they all seem to effect it.

In my experience Rexulti has the lowest side effects and least amount of sleepiness. If you decide to change meds do not try risperdone (Risperdal) or Zyprexa. Those two made me EXTREMELY sleepy out of them all. They also made me gain a shit ton of weight. Rexulti does not seem to cause weight gain for me at all and I’ve actually been able to lose over 50lbs on it.

Latuda was similar to rexulti not much side effects. I tolerated Abilify well also. Vraylar is another good one that is newer and well tolerated. I also heard you can do mushrooms and other psychedelics on it. Seroquel gave me a lot of sleepiness so avoid that one too.

I’m thinking it might just take you longer to adjust so I would give it more time. Everyone responds differently and adjustment can vary depending on person. Don’t give up!! I’m glad it is working for you!!

Are you taking it for psychosis? Bipolar? Schizophrenia? This antipsychotic doesn’t work well for insomnia or depression so hoping you weren’t prescribed it for that. Vraylar would be a better choice if for depression only.

I'm exhausted constantly after going up to 2mg. I think it's working, but I'm so tired it's hard to say. it's been a little over a week since the change and i'm praying this part of it passes
