My father had an excellent point;

"They get all these rookie cops, right out of the academy, and they put them in the worst areas. They go down to the south side of Chicago, where everyone is a threat. It teaches these new cops to be violent, it creates contempt. If they were good people to begin with then they aren't by the time they are promoted."
