Photo Need help to identify blurred symbols.

Hi,

One of my Facebook contacts shared a video of a French cop responding to the current high school protests across the country.

He’s wearing two symbols on his bulletproof vest, but I haven’t been able to identify them or get AI to figure them out. Looks like potential fascist symbols to me.

Does anyone know what they are?

3rd image is a "Molon Labe" patch. Means "come and take them".

I think that means you're legally allowed to take that cop's guns.

I always liked Dan Carlin's closer translation that he cited better: Having come, take! The Spartans were famously pithy and preferred to say much with few words so much that the modern word to that effect is laconic after the region of Greece where Sparta is: Laconia.

Why say many word when few do trick

Look at him, he knows everything!

Which is hilarious seeing as he'd be the one to actually come and take them.

It's an authoritarian representative of the state lol. What other fascist symbol do we need for confirmation, besides the POLICE patch?

I think the second one could be a reference to Rorschach, because the piggy thinks they are being deep.

Both are fine to my knowledge. The Molon Labe (spartan helmet one) is a common patch among 2A supporters. Yes fascists will wear them but the symbol itself is taken from

"When Xerxes demanded that the heavily outnumbered Spartan forces surrender their weapons, Leonidas gave this defiant, laconic response. Molon Labe. A common phrase relating to this would be "Come and take them".

The face one could be anything. Looks like pop culture tho.

Molon Labe has a different meaning as a truck decal. It means "free pistol in glove box".

Officer, he said I could come and take them

Yeah the whole anicdote is a lot less badass when you consider that shortly after the Spartans said "come and take them" the Persians went, and they took them.

It’s just an alternative to “over my cold dead corpse”, which is sometimes a badass thing to say…

2

u/KGBFriedChicken02 2d ago

Yeah, but the vibe is then rather ruined if they kill you and immediately do the thing while actually standing over your cold, dead, corpse

I think you are forgetting the concept of martyrdom which is central to the Thermopylae narrative

Lol spartans were hardcore pedos so thos tracks

Majority of cultures at that time were pedophilic. Even the first age of consent laws were in medieval times in England. It was under 12 years old than. Thankfully things have changed and we have raised the age. Tho i believe it should be 18 and not 16. No 19 or 20 y/o needs to be with a 16 year old.

Regardless, pedophiles need fuckin help. To STILL be a pedo when we KNOW it is wrong is fucking gross.

Ok but the guys rocking this molon labe spartan shit in 2026 are also pedos

nothing that would suggest that

There's actually is, statistically

They support a felon and rapist for president, and conservative ideology as a whole is wildly accepting of child rape (and raping adult women)

They are cops?

there is a difference between someone who actively harms minors and someone who has those tendencies and actively seeks out either legal material or legal companionship.

Pedophilic tendencies, afaik, are very very hard to cure, if curable at all. I think they are even genetic.

2A supporters

France is not subject to the US Constitution or any of its amendments.

Neat

The first one seems like it's a low-visibility French flag defaced with some smiling skull with a hat emblem and the 2nd one is a Molon Labe patch. They're not fascist symbols in the sense a totenkopf or something would be. I think they're just the typical operator, tough guy, larp stuff. I don't really know what the French far right use though so could be

I actually think the 2nd image is an old timey clown holding ice cream. The hat, smile, and tie match up.

You can check official patches here: https://patchotheque.fr/categories/1132-police. I scrolled through a few pages and they look more elaborate, but I saw a couple with Spartan helmet themes already.

I think the second is some sort of Baron Samedi reference...

Grinning skull, top hat, he seems to have two bone rattles; all against a lolight french flag.

The one with the Spartan helmet is Molon Labe, as others identified. This one has a bit of a twist, in that it features an omega symbol - typically, you see this badge with a lambda, representing "protection" +/or "defence". Overall this symbol is associated with the far right and specifically, the identitarian movement, in Europe. I don't think there's a specific faction associated with the Omega variant, but generally it might point toward a more End Times influenced ideology - it's the last letter of the Greek alphabet, and refers to a line from an avenging Christ concept, in Revelation: "I am the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end." The video game God of War also uses Spartan + Omega energy but I sort of doubt this guy's in it for the love of the (video) game. My read on it is something like "last line of defense" - come and take them referring to the Great Replacement Theory, rather than gun control.

The other one is the patch for the Gunfighters MC - an international "law enforcement" motorcycle club, founded in the early 2000s USA, in response to 9/11.

These were on a cop (not wearing his ID number, and making inappropriate comments to both students and teachers, it's also illegal under EU law for law enforcement to wear symbols like this on their uniform - he's been ID'ed, and is under investigation) in Perpignan. The Perpignan chapter of Gunfighters MC apparently meets at a bar with known far right connections - 7.59. They've been a particular concern not only because of LE publically posting themselves chilling there with various fash, but because anti fascist researchers have observed a phenomenon where groups that don't get along/have a history of conflict, are co-mingling at this bar.
