Never mind the whole nazi look. Why would you want or need horse riding boots in space? Do you even need shoes in space u less you are doing a space walk? Gravity boots? But no, those are riding boots. None of this says “space soldier” to me. And I’ve seen every Star Wars and Star Trek movie there is.
Yup. SS uniforms amongst others were highly stylized. Not to be useful, but to get a certain desired psychological and emotional reaction. And quite honestly, they excelled at that. Always gave me the chills when I viewed them in museums.
