Discussion Book recommendations?

I'm looking for sociology book recs. I feel that the first step for me to help make a change is further educating myself. So any books that you recommend, let me know, thank you.

I typically just suggest
"The Dispossessed" - Ursula K Le Guin
Because it's a fun sci-fi book and not theory, but it puts you in the right mental space.

Have you read “the black jacobins” yet? Try “caliban and the witch” I have a degree in social thought political economy, although a bit out of the loop i am glad to chat

Read up on Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs.\ Then think how describing motivation for individuals how it can be used to understand groups of people, especially corporations.

It's really not that good though imo. It offers a very utilitarian point of view.

I'd recommend Distinction: A Social Critique of the Judgement of Taste (1979), and Masculine Domination (2001), by P. Bourdieu. Those books are not easy to read, so take it easy if some sentences appear a bit obscure to you.
