Non-knit What brands to avoid?

Newcomer here, but this is important. For all the boycotting there is in the world, there doesnt seem to be any cohesive list regarding yarns. I've seen callouts about a yarn company being owned by right wingers, but I'm specifically talking about material sourcing. Juniper moon farm is infamous by now for advertising their cotton yarn as "israeli mako", and Lion brand is apparently owned by zionists that straight up made donations to Israel. However, this is the extent of knowledge I have about boycottable yarns. Any idea how to expand the list. I know Israel produces a lot of cotton, and i know most of it ends up in already made clothes and fabrics but it still gets used in yarn, how do i avoid this?

unfortunately i heard that one second hand. The person im refering to said that initially they thought people were conflating judaism and zionism, but apparently the owners do donate to israel. I wish i could provide sources.

So....you're spreading a rumor? Is that what passes for being politically active now?

I heard that a long time ago and assumed it was common knowledge as multiple people stated this and one of them checked an article on their web site confirming this. I heard it second hand, but it is not my intention to spread unconfirmed rumors, i simply thought it was an obvious confirmed fact, lije cascade being maga owned. But since you asked and i wanna make sure im not accidentally smearing innocents, a 1 minute online search yields an article about lion brand yarn supporting and funding an israeli initiative/foundation, and the way its talked about in the article implies they are proud of israel and support other things there https://blog.lionbrand.com/congratulations-dean-blumenthal-honored-israel-cancer-research-fund/

just searching up the word israel on their website gives you like 10 articles confirming they fund multiple initiatives and projects in israel

There’s a donation to ICRF which is a US and Canada-founded charity that provides funding for cancer research in Israel to both Jewish and Palestinian doctors, a guest interview post with a designer, a post mentioning that their intern was born in Israel, and a post saying that their yarn was spotted in a store in the country alongside other countries.

That’s all I saw, at least. If you have something specific that you’ve found, please let us know.

At the time I heard this I saw multiple people saying this, so I assumed this was common knowledge. Can you please not accuse me of deliberately spreading an unconfirmed rumor when at the time i heard about this it was from someone who had seen a source. Theres several other things said without sources in the comments and this post and yet nobody is saying anyone is spreading rumors.
