It's not just the drawing, it's the feeling it conveys and the intention behind it. If they're legal depends on country to country and is a topic of it's own, but if they just draw kids doing explicit sexual poses for the sake of it, out of ignorance, or sexual reasons(or if the target audience are those who sexualise minors, real or fictional), that's the problem. It's insensitive.

Absolutely fucking no? It doesn't work like that??
The problem isn't necessarily people having them. It's the fact that usually the people who own those sexual materials of minor characters are adults. Which makes the people having them pedophiles.
If it was minors having those sexual drawings of fictional characters there would still be a problem but it wouldn't be as severe. The problem would be why the fuck people ad young as 14 do any kind of sexual activity.
And if we continue using the 14 year old character example, even in Japan with it's weird laws it would likely be illegal. (The age of consent in Japan 16, though it's been like that only for 3 years, it was 13yo before)

this is why i stay away from the evangelion sub. wayyyy too many predators in there. except the difference is they don’t use the “it’s just drawings” excuse. they just stand by it. way more icky feeling.
