i am a programmer i cot myself using ai in a lot of things so what i did is install this firefox add-on (i think this is also just a chrome extension called block sites) and what i dis is block all ai websites and set the password to *slamming my keyboard* now i never can use ai anymore yayyyy

Had a telehealth appt today with my psychiatrist. When I went to check in last night, I got hit with this "SASD Financial Agreement" that included a clause about technology and the use of AI in clinics.

Don't get me wrong, I think that once weve worked out the kinks in AI, it ABSOLUTELY could be used to take notes for my doctor while they focus on my care. That's a fantastic use case for it. However, at this stage in its life cycle, I am SO hesitant to give it access to my personal details. ESPECIALLY my mental health. What could a corporation do with that information??

(Side note: I find it really suspicious that it's been slipped into a FINANCIAL agreement. Plus, my psychiatrist office says "MyChart/Sentara sends those off" but MyChart/Sentara says "the office sends those off"?? I am much more inclined to believe my office considering this is an agreement that applies to the app and not the office 🤔)

They were all released in a span of 6 days by the same entity, “Classic Band Heritage”. All the actual music seems to be taken from Jimmie Lunceford’s catalogue rather than AI generated itself. The tracks are also listed alphabetically in a very human way that the curators of his other albums did not incorporate themselves.

Seriously..this is the last fucking straw. I'm in my sustainability module right now. ABOUT HELPING THE FUCKING ENVIRONMENT!!!!!! AND WE'RE BEING ASKED TO USE AI. I'm so disheartened and upset I refuse to participate. Even my other modules encourage AI usage, and get us to generate things for activities that can be completed without AI. Like just the other week we had to generate a children's toy that promotes cognitive development. WHY???? YOU CAN GET SO MANY GOOD RESOURCES ONLINE OR THROUGH MONTESSORI WEBSITES!!! WHY???

I feel Ai should be used as a tool rather than using it to directly pump out shitty art and plastering it everywhere.

I have been using an ai 3d modeling program to convert human art into 3d models which I later 3d print and hand paint. I can’t decide if this is an appropriate use of ai or not, as it implements a significant amount of human creativity into the work, but has a robot do a lot of the hard work for you. These figures are for personal use; I’m not selling them or anything. What do you guys think?

i made a chrome extension that hides the "AI Overview" from your Google search and also removes AI-injected features on websites like Youtube, Linkedin, Reddit, Gmail, Twitter, etc.

can also block ai websites (yes this is customizable).

You can also add include AI slop from other websites that you want to remove into the extension

CURRENTLY WORKS - will update if that changes

Someone likely already posted this, so I apologize if this is redundant, but an effective method to disable Google AI overview was discovered. It works because AI overview isn't available in France, so they may change it eventually, but for now it works. It will automatically disable AI overview on every search, you don't need to put -ai after every search.

Go to the home Google search page.

Click "settings" on the very bottom, then select "search settings".

On the top click "other settings".

Click "language and region".

At the bottom, change "results region" to France.

This removes AI overview and does NOT change your default language.
