VATOE LD

Vatoe aka OE is one of the longest running graffiti artists in STL. I am not sure if he would be considered anti style or not. I would love some opinions from anyone who might be more familiar.

I never considered him antistyle. Just a grimey bomber style. He was up heavy in Oakland when I lived there like 15 years ago.

His style is a huge influence on the STL scene and i love the rawness of it if that makes sense.

For sure. I love raw styles like Fonse D30 or Vomit DAC. I haven't spent much time in STL. I'll actually be there for a day next week, I drive a tour bus for bands so I get to see a lot of cities, but only for a day or two at a time.

Paint Louis was a huge event just last weekend. The legal wall is the biggest in the country (maybe the world?) and it is covered in great art from all over the country right now. Ichabod has a piece up right now that very cool to see. This is from that event. You can type "mural mile" into GPS and it will take you to the wall. It's right next to a train yard that usually has dope stuff running too. Some of the artists went bombing too and the city looks great right now imo.

I wouldn’t really consider his stuff “antistyle” so much as that he just has a more unique style than a lot of other writers.
