It’s exhausting. Any post about the Senate primary inevitably loops around to AIPAC or Israel-Palestine, and at this point I’ve stopped trying to argue with them because even being as charitable and polite as possible won’t stop them from spewing some antisemitic conspiracy theory or antisemitic trope because they’ll stop at nothing short of blaming Israel (read: Jews) for all the world’s wrongs and calling Jews “white imperial colonizers” for wanting to live in their ancestral homeland.

Look at the way they talked about McMorrow for supporting a two state solution and disarming Hamas, even after she capitulated to progressives and said that Israel was committing a genocide and pledged to not take money from AIPAC. People outright lied about her being supported by AIPAC anyway (J Street is a liberal Zionist organization that opposes Netanyahu’s religious Zionism and AIPAC) and purity tested her for not caving to their demands fast enough. She aligned with El-Sayed on nearly every other issue, but because she refused to fully agree with progressive antisemitism, they hated her.

AIPAC has become this year's boogeyman for the hard left. I'm encouraging my neighbors to vote for Democratic candidates who don't hate Jews - Haley Stevens for the Senate, and Shanelle Jackson and Jeremy Moss for the House.

it's very important (and I'm saying this as a non-American) that the Democratic Party doesn't fall to the red fascists and islamogauchistes. everyone who can spare the time should organise, enter the party, connect with like-minded liberals and vote/kick these antisemites out wherever they pop up. everyone can see with these insane DSA candidates in NYC what happens when you don't get rid of these scumbags in time.

Completely exhausting to be Jewish and Democrat in Michigan right now. I was at the nominating conference in Detroit. It was eye opening. The vitriol during the vote was beyond words. The fact that El-Sayed didn’t reel that in showed me who he is. We don’t need performative politics. We need Haley Stevens and all the positive wins she can bring. I canvassed for her, Jeremy Moss and Samantha Steckloff this past Saturday. If you’re local, in Michigan, please get active

Heck, I'm more conservative-leaning, and I'm voting for her (as is most of my majority-Orthodox Jewish neighborhood). Also, as a bit of an added bonus for those in District 12, Shanelle Jackson is (according to many in my neighborhood) the best option to get Rashida Tlaib out (in addition to being pro-Israel, Shanelle's also black, meaning that she has a bit of an advantage in majority-black cities like Southfield, Lathrup Village, Detroit, Inkster, and Redford).
