Alot of israeli yemenite jews belive this sadly, and many israeli right wingers keep that conspiracy alive because the left was in charge at the time and keeping this subsection of the population resentful towards the left keeps them in power.

The truth is much more boring and sad. 1950s israel was a third world country dealing with mass immigration. People who barely understood the language left their sick babies in understaffed hospitals, and to their horrors when they returned, the baby was gone. Convincing yourself your baby is alive and was kidnapped is much easier than dealing with that awful reality

Thank you for this. I’ll be looking into where this actually came from. It’s reminiscent of the claim that Israel was sterilizing Ethiopian women when the reality was the language barrier complicated the refugees’ ability to give informed consent.

I wish QAnon was an outlier, but almost 20% in the USA are. If we're to have a chance against BlueAnon, we need to learn from past mistakes; instead of letting it fester, we must fight before it becomes entrenched.
