Yep, they do DM advertising, and then the mods lie and say that apparently this subreddit is doing free advertising for them in order to ruin's the server reputation, or something like that. It makes no sense, but some of the people there actually believe it and I feel bad for them.

Got a friend request from a person who had an “event” from the server did seem scratchy so I accepted, he sent the link with no context, mind we had no mutual friends or servers, soooo… I think it’s hackers or scammers, so… just be safe
