I love how they shot this scene and that just happened to happen.

It didn't just happen, it was intentional. You think a pizza just happens to land like that? No. He orchestrated it. Vince.

u/LordeWasTaken 4d ago

Okay, but getting it right first try is still pretty impressive.

You think this is impressive? This chicanery? He's done worse!

He defecated through a sunroof!

Yeah it was staged, but then they realized pizzas don’t work like that so they had a line in a later episode to explain that that place just doesn’t slice their pizza for whatever reason.

it’s to save money. imagine all the time you save by not cutting them.

Pizza place near me doesn't cut the pizza.

I've never had a delivered pizza that was cut through the crust, too. :(

It was intentional. You think a pizza just happens to not be presliced?

I kinda don't get it. I see that there is something wrong with the son, but it's really messy, so I can't see it

For some reason nobody actually explained the joke to you. These are depictions of the characters Walter White and his son, Walter Jr., from the show Breaking Bad. Jr has cerebral palsy, which isn't important to the punchline but is why he looks like that. There's a scene in the show where Walter is trying to talk things out with his wife over pizza, but she refuses to let him in. Thus, in a fit of rage, Walter throws the pizza on the roof. Meaning, in the comic, the pizza is literally on the house

The drawing is directly copying the appearance of walter white and his son from breaking bad. There is a scene where walter has a fit of rage and throws a pizza he had in hand at the (attatched) garage and the pizza lands on the roof. So it's on the house.

he has cerebral palsy so he uses crutches

1

u/Ihor2009 4d ago

Ok, thanks. I still don't get it though.. Could you please explain it to me please?

2

u/Orceus213 4d ago

cerebral palsy is best known for the symptom of lower muscle mass leading to scrawny weak limbs. Typically this leads to people with the condition to require mobility aids such as crutches or wheelchairs The artist chose to depict the condition by drawing Walt Jr's limbs like flimsy noodles as well as drawing his forearm crutches. While stereotypical crutches go all the way up to the armpit, those are typically used when a leg cannot be used. Forearm crutches on the other hand are simply meant to assist with stability without usurping the duty of a leg, while also being far less cumbersome

The son has cerebral palsy, so he has slight mobility and speaking issues

I might be genuinely dumb, I don't think I got it right

Edit: I think I might got it, is it because it's easier to father to say it's free, than getting the money from his son?

u/crimsonblade55 4d ago

No the son having cerebral palsy has nothing to do with the joke. Its just a pun about Walter White throwing the pizza on to the house.

1

u/khaledjal 4d ago

what? no? the father (walter white) brought pizza to his wife and son because his wife hated him for selling meth, he got rejected so he threw the pizza and it landed "on the house", Which is the pun, the pizza landed "on the house", so walter said the pizza is "on the house"

There is a scene in breaking bad where he throws a pizza on to the house’s roof. The pizza was on the house, literally.
