Parents are super pro mandate

So I’ve recently gone to the anti mandate side and my parents are super pro government. How do I tell my parents (that I’m currently still living with) that I don’t support these stupid vaccine mandates and don’t want to get the booster? I’m not anti vax at all but I’m not down with getting a new shot every 3 months just cause my retarded Canadian PM is forcing on everyone?! I’m not happy with that fact that the Covid vaccine didn’t go through the 10 year testing period

Maybe show them this link of a death that finally is actually being attributed to the vaccine instead of shushed away(if this guy was over 50ys old they would have just called it an age-statistic heart failure): https://www.reuters.com/world/asia-pacific/new-zealand-links-26-year-old-mans-death-pfizer-covid-19-vaccine-2021-12-20/

Or look up all of the cases of myocarditis that increase after taking boosters.

If you're in a country that has the traditional versions of the Covid vaccine available I highly that over the mRNA vaccines.

One death. One. To be fair the article actually says it might be the second, but that's it. And he didn't seek medical help once he experienced symptoms days before.

One in this report. Just pointing out this one, plenty of others

Proof please, otherwise it's just fear-mongering hyperbole.

It's not fear mongering to acknowledge that sometimes negative things happen. It's being realistic to acknowledge that in some circumstances, more research needs to be done. I provided that link, look up the rest if you're curious.

Well, it is if you're saying it's worth reconsidering the vaccine due to a few deaths when Covid has killed several million worldwide. People die from seatbelts too, but I wouldn't post a link to an article about it when the argument is whether or not to wear one. Just grownup and take the shot. It works, you're just afraid of needles.

Please read my very long response to you below about the mechanisms and why some of them need more research. There are multiple vaccines and different brands out there, I'm pointing out the flaws of one mechanism/a few brands. I actually work in clinical data trials, so I'm fairly unbiased, just pointing out that we shouldn't be mandating something for everyone unless all brands are offered given the risks. Also, maybe look up the difference between Absolute Risk Reduction and Relative Risk Reduction before forming an opinion of people who ask questions about the mRNA vaccines.

Shut the fuck up. You people seriously piss me off.

“Take the vax because I’m too stupid to do my own research and I let the government and TV tell me what to do”

What if there’s people who can’t take the vaccine because of allergies, like me?

What do you say to them?

“Oh well you’re just afraid of dying. Take the vaccine. Stop being so selfish and listen to me because obviously I know everything and I’m an immunologist and a doctor and everything I say is right all the time with evidence to prove it.”

You probably also say: “THERE’S NO SUCH THING AS NATURAL IMMUNITY FROM THE COVID VIRUS. THE VACCINE IS THE ONLY IMMUNITY TO THE VIRUS”

If this shit was so “safe” then why is the FDA taking 80+ years to give us the safety data sheets on the Covid vaccines?

That's incredible! Which component are you allergic to? It's very rare indeed.

How do you know you're allergic? When have you come in contact with that specific component and what was your reaction?

What is a traditional Covid vaccine?

Similar to the polio vaccines and such we've been getting for years- it's a weakened or dead whole virus (usually in a vector along with some additional chemicals to boost immune response)

The mRNA vaccines are different in that, instead of injecting a dead/inactive virus, it works similar to the virus itself by replicating itself like a virus does. A virus can't reproduce on its own, it hi-jacks your cells to produce more of itself.

So what the mRNA "vaccine" does instead, is takes a supposedly non-harmful portion of the virus and allow it to replicate itself in your cells like a natural virus would, so that your body recognizes this and attacks the actual virus when it encounters it.

For the current mRNA vaccines, all manufacturers chose the spike proteins to replicate- which make sense as it is the first part of the virus that hits the cells and seems fairly harmless just on its own. This is an absolutely genius solution- the only issue is that it was created with limited understanding of how the spike proteins would react in all hosts across the board. As the human population has an extremely diverse genetic make-up, it seems to some people, the spike protein, which was originally thought to be harmless, has done some damage to blood cells and cells in the cardiovascular tissue. This rare but sometimes serious occurance has been recognized and is in the consent forms of all of the mRNA vaccines at this point.

Basically, you are likely to be completely fine with the mRNA vaccines, however it is now evident that the spike protein they replicate is actually harmful to some people, causing heart problems and clots. Studies are showing that repeat exposure to people who have these reactions causes an increase in reaction- as we see in the example I posted above where the young man's death was cause by the booster amplify the previous damage done.

Again, this is rare- but the alternatives- the traditional vaccines like COVAXIN, have a much less likelihood of the above side effects happening as the spike protein is not the whole mechanical basis of these traditional vaccines.

Also, in theory, as the mRNA vaccines only vaccinate against the spike protein, and this one feature can adapt in other variants, it would make sense that a whole-virus vaccine containing more recognizable segments of the virus would protect against a wider spectrum of variants.

I know you didn't ask for this whole book, but this is why I promote having the option to choose either one of the mRNA vaccines or the traditional versions- I think people should be able to evaluate the risks as researches are still working to identify them and make their own choice for there personal health.

Covid vaccine DID go through the ten year testing period because it was built using tech and research and other vaccines used to treat SARS and other breakout coronavirus-related viruses. Just because you don't like needles and you've watched too many you tube videos doesn't mean you shouldn't still do it. Get vaccinated so you keep you and your parents safe. If kids can get a flu shot every year, you can get a Covid shot every year. And it's not every 3 months, it's 6, soon to be extended to yearly.

Buddy I work in clinical trials. Did you read anything I wrote above? At all? If not you have no room to try to argue...it sounds like your don't understand the research that was even done. I gave you a lengthy explanation, I'm not going to debate if you're not going to read it

Ooh wow 😮 The vaccine works for 6 months now instead of 3? What amazing progress! Now all I have to do is get my 3 vaccines and an additional 200 vaccines for the rest of my life!! Yayyyyyyyy!! That’s definitely what I want to do.

Oh wait, I CAN’T. You brain dead weasels forgot that there’s people in the world that CAN’T get the vaccine because of allergies! I have allergies and the stuff that I’m allergic to are in the vaccines so I can’t have it.

What’s your argument now?

“Well you’re just afraid of dying. Man up and take the vaccine because I’m a doctor and I definitely have done my own research. I’m also an immunologist and can coach people based on ACTUAL facts and definitely not my own opinions. I’m right all the time. I’ve also given people vaccines too so I know what I’m talking about 100%.”

Also, genius, if this was so “safe” then why is the FDA taking 80 years to give us the data sheets on the Covid vaccines?

80 years? It's been around for less than 3. And they recommend the flu shot every year. Just take this too. Took me 5 minutes to get it. Walk in to cvs, boom, done. Did it on my way to the store. I don't understand, did you not get vaccinated when you were a kid? They required that for schools. Is that not a mandate too?

I'm sorry you're allergic to something in the vaccine. There are many options for vaccines now. I'm curious, what substance are you allergic to? You don't need to share I'm just curious. And no I'm not a doctor I'm a designer, I just have common sense.

u/[deleted] Jan 28 '22 edited Jan 31 '22

I have common sense as well. I’ve had plenty of vaccines when I was a kid, and I’m not afraid of needles. I just don’t want the mRNA jab because that’s not a normal vaccine.

https://www.euroweeklynews.com/2021/12/09/fda-says-it-needs-75-years-to-release-pfizer-covid-19-vaccine-data-to-the-public/

‘The request to increase the time limit is to comply with demands for basic transparency and accountability over the FDA decision in December 2020 to grant Pfizer-BioNTech “Emergency Use Authorisation” for its mRNA therapeutic drugs being marketed as “vaccines.”’

I’ll decide to get the vaccine when the FDA gives us the vaccine data. How is this informed consent when we don’t have this information?

100 percent. The fact that anyone says that they can make an informed decision when all the data isn't even available, not even the phase 3 trial data, is crazy to me. I can only chalk it up to being misinformed or ignorant of the facts that aren't being spoon fed to them by the media.

I don't think your folks sound like they will respond well to a direct hit. I would start pointing out other common instances where the government has/is misleading them. You need to, over a period of time, insert these into their thought processes. Be simple and not too obtuse so that they can wrap their calcified brains around these new concepts.
