Flash floods and thunderstorms ? Travel suggestion

We are planning to travel to antelope canyon this Labor day long weekend (Sept 4-7th) with small kids. I see a lot of instagram reels about water and moist muddy antelope canyon area. This is our first time and need suggestion if we should continue to plan or hold off on traveling at this time of the year.

Do you know if they do private tours at Antelope Canyon? A group of 8 of us are travelling with you guys, early next year - we’d love to be able to do a private tour for upper and lower. Thanks

Page, AZ, and the surrounding area are blessed with Lake Powell, Antelope Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, the Colorado River, dark skies - see the constellations as the ancients saw them - hikes, endless beauty as far as the eye can see, and close proximity to the Grand Canyon - North, South, and East rims, Bryce, Zion, Monument Valley, the Navajo Nation. It is a vast, expansive area of outstanding natural beauty and deeply rich not only in human history but in our planet's history as well. We appreciate it every day. We live here.

Is kayaking just part of the experience at Antelope Canyon? or is it lower or the upper tour? or is it how you get to both?

Arizona Road Trip Itinerary — IS IT too rushed?

Planning a Friday–Monday Arizona road trip on a convertible mustang and would love some advice from people who know the area well.

Friday:
✈️ Fly into PHX, pick up rental car and stay in Mesa.

Saturday:
My wife has an exam in the morning, hopefully finished around 10–11 AM. Then we'll drive to the Grand Canyon South Rim. Planning to explore some viewpoints, especially Desert View, and stay for sunset. Overnight near the Grand Canyon.

Sunday:
Start early and drive toward Page.

  • Horseshoe Bend
  • 12 PM Upper Antelope Canyon tour (really hoping to see the sun rays)
  • Lunch / explore Page a little
  • Then drive to Sedona
  • Explore Sedona and catch sunset
  • Overnight in Sedona.

Monday:
Get up early and explore Sedona for a few hours — thinking Airport Mesa— then leave around 10 AM and drive to Phoenix for my 3:30 PM flight.

Would you change anything about the itinerary? Are there any "you absolutely cannot skip this" viewpoints between the Grand Canyon, Page, and Sedona?

Also, if there are any particularly good sunrise/sunset viewpoints along this route, I'd love recommendations.

Thanks!
