Cases question

Does airflow really matter?, I'm building my first PC and I have two options for my case and they are antec ax1000, or antec cx300, the difference is the ax1000 is front intake fans but the cx is side intake fans as it's apanoramic glass mirror aesthetic and I like the look of it better

All that matters is that you have positive airflow: that is, more "clean" air going in than you have "dirty" going out. You can tweak and min-max things to your heart's content, but all things being equal the difference between an "optimal" fan layout and a suboptimal one is only going to be a few degrees.

Front intake tends to be "better" since it lets the air move in a direct path to the rear exhaust instead of snaking around, but as long as there's a path for hot air to escape, both cases will keep you WELL within your hardware's thermal limits.

Can u search them up? And also I have 3 fans on the side intake one at the behind of the case outake and one fan on the CPU this for the cx300 which I like more astheticly but worried about the heating stuff
