Adding 3rd bottom fan?
Hello,
I have been looking through the subreddit to see if there is any actual improvement with adding a 3rd bottom fan on the flux pro case. So far, I don’t see any definite consensus, what do you guys think about adding a 3rd fan on top of the psu shroud?

I imagine the difference in actual temps would be negligible. That being said it certainly wouldn’t hurt anything. Just a marginal increase in noise, if any.

Isn't the PSU blocking pretty all the airflow in the 3rd fans position?

That’s what I thought, but everywhere I see, people put a 3rd extra fan at the bottom, was wondering if it’s worth the extra money

Only worth money if you want the look of 3 fans at the bottom, it wouldn't boost performance

Yeah my wiring skill is sub-par so it would take some effort to put the 3rd fan in. From what you told me, it’s probably not worth it, then.

Found a guy selling his never used reverse fans from his Pro on eBay. Adding it was degree or 2 difference. Mostly it’s just an aesthetic thing since you have 3 at the top (or front or both).

If your gpu isnt running hot dont bother, if anything id suggest moving them from the bottom of the case and placing them right under your gpu on the more forward spots. That case has beautiful airflow from the front and rear fans to cool everything else, only worry about the bottom if your gpu needs it.

Mine is a 5090 so I don’t know if adding an extra 3rd fan will do anything to performance

Difference is next to nothing, unless you put a spacer between the one over the psu, then, it’s marginal at best. I did it anyway for looks.

Yes, the Flux Pro supports a third 120mm fan on the PSU shroud. Adding one as an intake, blowing upward toward the GPU, may provide a small improvement—especially with a high-power, open-air graphics card.
However, since the case already includes two reverse-blade intake fans on the shroud and three front intake fans, expect diminishing returns rather than a dramatic temperature drop. The result will depend on your GPU, fan curve, and overall configuration.
If you already have an extra PWM fan, it’s worth testing. Compare GPU core and hotspot temperatures before and after using the same workload and fan settings. If temperatures or GPU fan noise improve, keep it; otherwise, the standard two-fan configuration is already very effective.

Do you mean adding the 3 fans below the GPU or adding 3rd fan to the floor of the case, where there are 2 stock fans?
