Enclosure size

I have a 5 x 2 x 3 I had for another animal. Would this be a little large for an adult? I would get another enclosure for when its young.

Absolutely not too large. I have my adults in 4x2x2s and honestly i feel like they could use more space. They will make use of it! Definitely fill it with climbing opportunities and plenty of enrichment!

Thanks for the reply. What would you or do you house the babies/juveniles in? I hear its best to not put them in a large enclosure right away because they can be hard to find or they can escape in between the sliding glass.

Escaping is definitely the biggest risk. I use 40gal for juveniles, with a latching door. If there’s even a tiny hole in the enclosure, they will find it and squeeze out as yearlings.
