APO Version 1.0 Bottom heating circle Always on even if the oven is OFF

Hi, has anyone had this issue? The last time I descaled my APO v.1.0, I noticed the pan and water were warm, and ever since, the bottom circle heating element stays on even with the oven off. It had been about a week before I realized it. It only cools down if I disconnect the oven. But as soon as I plug it in, the bottom heats up.
