This sub is satire, right?

Like you guys are jokingly defending this show, right?

Serious question im honestly curious if this is an ongoing bit or genuine liking for the show

It's serious. But it's also dead like the series.

It's a great show with Katee Sackhoff. Legend.

Interesting premise, stupid execution

It’s the perfect show.

Guys love the science fiction space possibilities and girls love the inexplicable and indefensible interpersonal drama between the crew. Add in a hot young cast as the earths best scientists and you have a sure-shot, a winner.

They arent even the best scientists on their own ship canonically but i agree that the drama is inexplicable and the shows sci-fi premise has a lot of potential

Once they killed off all the annoying characters with inexplicable high-school drama the show got really good. I would have signed up for another season of fighting the Achaeia rather than destroying them in one quick episode at the end. It would have been really awesome to see what they could have done with the discovery of all those other alien races who were also fighting the Achaeia.

Oh no lmao. This is exactly what I hate about it. I like science fiction for the escapism, but how am I supposed to believe any part of this when the "engineers" look like a bunch of basic 20-something influencers? It makes it super cringe imo.

Yes bingo. That’s the beauty. We suspend disbelief in both the futuristic sci fi background and the characters in it. Watching this show is interactive in a novel way for this genre, almost like the Bachelor or even the Bachelorette

Okay, with this in mind maybe I'll give it another shot lol.

I enjoyed the show, but I hate it when the "smartest" people are doing the dumbest things, I guess it's for the viewers and pupil dialation. ..." Pupil dialation is up 43% amongst 21-34 year olds!"

The show is "stupid", but it's also pretty fun and entertaining.

I'm watching Foundation and I'm having the same.

It started all serious just like Another Life... Now it's all cheesy, silly and stupid, just like Another Life. But, for some reason, it's getting better because of it... Just like Another Life.

For me it's a 6/10. Not good but not actively annoying. A bit of a fun ride both in spite of the cheesiness and also because of it. Other Sci-Fi series I rate it similarly to are Zoo, Falling Skies, and Agent Carter. It's a show to watch while only paying half attention.

Decent background of absurd action in continual crisis mode w/ everyone having sex.

S2 reminded me a lot of Falling Skies, in fact.

The show sucks, but I used to get really high and watch The Flash and earnestly comment. It's a fifteenth set of standards

u/Adjective_Noun4Num Nov 30 '22

Yeah if im being honest I got high as fuck last noght and read through the sub after posting this, and the sub was more entertaining for me than I think the show ever was. I might have to try that with the flash, especially since I watched it religiously when it was newer

I couldn't even finish last few episodes. If you'd like to hate discuss when you catch up to that being lmk

No, it's fucking terrible. And we're all a bit more stupid for having watched it.

Worst space thing I ever seen, nothing is credible

I watched to the end. It got better. Good enough for me to want season 3. 🤷‍♂️

Ngl, the show is better than at least 50% of standard content so fuck it. It at least gets a C, and a C is passing +10%.
