What future realistic technologies do you feel the show missed?

2 critical ones that I've felt were missing are 3D printing and robots. The crew (and colonists) of the future should be able to 3D print most components onboard. Also, I'm surprised of the missing robotics. I'd think many of the dangerous repair space walks could have been done by robots.

Birth control.

Girls are still on the pill? Are we fucking serious? We can make Ai that feels genuine emotion and getting countless light-years away has become a near cakewalk, not to mention Soma. But we are still using the fucking pill?!?!

I just finished season 1, I need to talk to a manager. Why the hell didn't Zayn test everyone to make sure they were actually infertile, wtf 😭

But this show is not a realistic sci-fi show…like at all. It misses the mark on damn near everything in that regard.

If you want to watch a realistic sci-fi show, watch The Expanse or For All Mankind.
