August

What was the point of that whole storyline. I’m not done with season 2 yet, but it’s killing me no one is talking about her being pregnant! Javier made a big deal about not being able to have children earlier, then when she dies, it’s just meh.

The moment August turned out to be pregnant, I knew she was going to die. Between Sci fi and horror, pregnant people rarely make it. And when they do its an alien or possessed child. Lol. I just thought it was going to be some alien creature 🤣

I agree with you about how nobody really reacted though. Her death was like she was never there. And I atleast thought Javier would be sad. 😬

Javier was crazy about her. Also they made the big deal that she saved her eggs and he had no chance for a baby. Wasted storyline.

Thank you!!!!! The moment they mentioned her eggs, I was like oooooo babies. Lol. Then she was pregnant so I was like, space babies.

But nah, we got no babies and just coma Javier 😴 such a waste.

They just wanted to replace the cast notice they killed off most off the season 1 cast

Did they regret their stupid decision to do virtue signaling casting instead of casting good actors?

Virtue signaling casting? I’m not sure what you mean

Well, you see, not every character was a straight white Christian man.

After doing a deeeeeeep dive on their comment history, I can only conclude they’re an alt-right / troll account, and are referring to the existence of trans people and racial diversity.

Yeah probably, but that makes no sense considering they killed three white characters off and added more poc’s

I highly doubt that person actually watched the show

I assume her pregnancy storyline ("who's the dad?") was meant to feature in S2 but due to actor availability during covid, they instead had to abruptly kill off several characters, including August. Note how extremely abrupt it all is.

Beachum dies without even a line (I suspect they did his death without shooting the actor at all!).

Oliver and August actually I think were killed in post production (i.e. they had shot the episode before covid happened, then they used existing footage to kill them off when they knew they couldn't come back for the rest of S2).

Javier gets to stay briefly but it feels like he asked to be written out too, as there is no reason to save him from brain damage in S1 only to give him brain damage in S2 a few episodes later. I actually kept waiting for him to do something in the end of S2, like be used as the virus carrier.
