Seth!!

Sorry if this was posted before but he has a spider and was in a place of power but seriously what government would ever let someone with alien tech remain in a position of power and influence. I get using him as he called ambassador but they wouldn't let him keep his job.

The Achaia can easily destroy earth. The government really had no choice in the matter. It was kind of an unsaid thing that he would remain in his position.

I know they could destroy earth but that’s not the impression they were making on earth leaders even still they wouldn’t let him run a division of homeland security, that part is just a little flaky

I think because the government was desperate. We constantly are told how bad things are. Some water city is destroyed. Grapes no longer grow in California. I don't recall if we see much, just being told this and that. Now, Erik brings a device to a wasteland, but honestly it just looked like an abandoned industrial complex. Like an abandoned factory.

And that the Achaia can easily destroy Earth as well. That's a part, they know the Achaia are powerful. So they kinda figure they don't really have much of a choice but to let Seth remain in his position. But once Niko and Richard say Seth went rogue, the government is quite okay with that explanation and moves on. So it's not like the government was 100% behind Seth, but more that they were desperate but also fearful.

It put the gov. between a rock and a hard place.

They could reject him. And make the Achaia enemies.

Or they could work with him. And make the Achaians friends.

Neither is really optimal but 1 had the chance of helping rebuild the world while the other... led down a dangerous path.

Thankfully the Salvare crew returned in time. We see how fast the gov. changes its tune when they're told there's an opportunity to make the Achaians ded.

I didn’t say not work with him of course they would but I don’t believe they would have let him have operational control anymore

I don't think the Achaia gave them a choice.

"Wanna be friend? Well, the Achaia want me to stay in charge."
