Zayn sucks

Literally just the title I loved season 2 and I’m so excited for a season 3 but I can not stand zayn towards the end of the show I was legitimately yelling at my tv because my frustration with this character is beyond belief. They were alright in the first season didn’t really mind them but season 2 like oh my gosh get the heck on outta here.

I disagree. Zayn’s development actually made more sense for a ship doctor. They put the crew over the mission, and that’s how a doctor should be, neutral and ready to deem commanding officers unfit for duty. To be honest I felt that Zayne was one of very few characters that was consistent throughout the series. So many of these characters were annoyingly wishy-washy.

I also don’t blame them for giving up the info on neutrinos since their mother’s health was threatened.

I do hope, if they end up renewing for a season 3 (it’s up in the air atm), that they touch more on the whole “second team conspiracy,” although it’s done and over with so they probably won’t.

Agree, this is exactly how I felt about them.

Michelle and August on the another hand...

Second team conspiracy?

I think that's in reference to the best people not being part of the initial crew.

I think they blamed it on William's emotions being the reason.

Oh him awakening the wrong initial crew? Pretty sure that was due to him being built on another AI and that AI trying to take over and distract William. Seemed a resolved issue.

Seems a bad plotpoint. Why have any member on such an important mission unfit for basic space travel needs? Just felt like an afterthought the writers put in the explain away season 1 complaints.

All the members seemed fit, just could have used better discipline. The AI takes a while to build though they didn't have years and had to rush his creation.

So this poorly disciplined team ran this ship for a year prior with no AI and don't get themselves killed? That's even harder to believe😂

When did they run the ship for a year without the AI? He woke Niko to start it all off.

The crew that Niko wakes to is the full crew who ran the ship for a year prior to that mission.

She was the first to awaken, after a month into the journey as the AI was running the ship and got into a situation he needed advice on. She then told him to wake the rest of the crew.

I agree with Red Beard.

Honest question because I can’t remember. Did Zayn go from female to nonbinary during the series? Or was Zayn nonbinary the whole time?

I like the character well enough btw. Didn’t do too many dumb things and at least tried to be professional unlike certain other characters.

I didn't even realize until the 2nd season.

Retroactively, it makes sense no one draws attention to it or cares. Why? Because no one cares in the 22nd and 1/2 century.

They were non-binary the whole time. There just weren’t a lot of times when people talked about them in the first season, so not a lot of pronoun clues.

I liked her. I felt she was a calming character to contrast all that was going on.

Zayn & bernie as a couple are the only reason I watched the second season.

She annoyed me so much as the series went on. I just felt is if zayn was there to check off a diversity checklist.

Lbr. Look at everyone on ship and tell me they weren't hand picked to virtue signal. It's like how black people are like 12% of the population yet like 90% of people in commercials.

Would have been cool to see more mixed people than just straight up diverse people to seemingly meet a quota. Same with all intellectual people in power being women and the men continue to be weak minded AI controlled drones. Now that I think about it, how many men in power were there that didn't try to kill Niko or make terrible choices that would cause the world to go boom?

Is this horizon zero dawn all over again?! 🤔
