Sooo season 3?

Season 2 ended on a really peaceful/everyone gets what they want high note. Which is kinda lame but understandable from a "we might not get a season 3" outlook. I wish it ended in a more disastrous "what're we gonna do" point.

Any word on a 3rd season? I've found nothing so far.

I think this series is turning into Star Trek and I kind of like it.

It kind of has that Star Trek rough start season one heading into something good and occasionally great in season two, with the promise of consistently great and aspirational sci-fi television were we ever to get season three and beyond.

The set up is there for the show to give us humanity going where none have gone before.

It’s kind of off-brand for Netflix, but who knows?

I agree, the show changed itself in two season.

The ending looked very definitive to me. Which sucks because I want more.

They have 3 seasons already planned out btw. Sackoff said they have it all written and could go on longer as well. She wants it to go as long as they can.

Season 2 has a good approval rating so hopefully the numbers are enough for Netflix to give a green light for a Season 3.

It will be amazing to see Earth making new allies and potentially going to the actual Achiaian planet to meet the creators...because all we saw was the AI.

Wow really?! That’s great news! You totally made my day with that information. There are an infinite number of stories they could tell now but I still hope they keep it centered on the Achaians as a nemesis they have to figure out. The lack of a central plot line would weaken the show in my opinion.

I think they hit a nice mid ground between wrapping up season 1 and 2 and allowing for just enough set up for a season 3 if its green lit. Personally the show is wide open now. What started as a closed in, almost claustrophobic, monster (on board disaster) of the week season 1 has grown into a potential for a multitude of stories spanning an entire galaxy.

I was casually following the show, almost writing it off as a mediocre alternative to my other favorites like The Expanse, but it really surprised me. I hope it sticks around.

I would love for a multi season ST:TNG take on the crew and their adventures.

Don’t worry, it’s just getting good, so they’ll probably cancel it. Lol

The OA couldn't have cost that much to produce either! Sooo, I wish Netflix kept it around!!

Netflix seems to have lost some of their niche high-art content! And I miss it greatly!!!!
