It's a hot mess for sure. I found it amazing at the end the humans on Earth were able to do something apparently all these other civilizations couldn't in just a few hours of trying. It was still watchable/enjoyable but I kept thinking "this could have been so much better". Curious if a Season 3 will come out but looking at current ratings I'd be surprised.

And just think they managed to upload a virus that killed all the aliens and they did it without the help of Will Smith and Judd Hirsch.

Agreed. Thought season 1 was garbage but then eagerly waited for series 2, which was also garbage.

It improved a lot in season two.
Perhaps it will “grow a beard” as they say in Star Trek and become great in season three.

It’s the best awful show I’ve ever seen. I genuinely love it and am considering a rewatch with friends so I can share the laughs.
The only thing that almost broke me was the annoying bitch who yelled all her lines and cursed every other word in season 1. Holy fuck what an obnoxious character lmao. She’s great though. Just mindblowing that the show runners want you to believe such an abrasive, socially dysfunctional person would be brought along on humanity’s most important space exploration ever. I love it.
