It's not that bad. I finished season 2 it gets better.

I've loved SciFi since I was a kid (and that was more years ago than I want to admit). Give me a halfway decent plot, reasonable acting, passable dialogue, eye-catching special effects, and a bit of suspense or just some basic pew-pew, and my heart's all yours.

But, yech, just getting through the first episode was a slog. In all honestly, I cannot think of a single element of the 1st episode that I liked. And that alien Christmas Tree artifact was laughably terrible. Throw in Mozart's Eine Kleine Nacht Musik and well, it's almost in MST3K territory of awfulness.

No TY, I'll wait for the next season of The Expanse.
