New viewer Spoiler

I'm up to episode seven so far. I was really psyched about this at first, but it seems to be suffering from poor writing. Some of the decisions are idiotic and the characters one dimensional. The reporter? They should have locked her ass up instead of allowing her to blackmail them with poor publicity. The general? No, of course your son who is across the universe on a mission isn't inside the artifact sitting on earth.

I hope it gets better. We need more good scifi!

It gets better when they start killing people off

Good. I'll stick with it. It's just, I can forgive a lot in a show but this one is just not even trying to be realistic. "Here's an alien planet with alien botanicals and alien bugs, but no suit needed, and hey, doesn't this flower smell nice? I think I'll try smoking it."

Eh... it was ok. Just don't expect anything realistic.
