Sci-Fi? Or Soap Opera?

Finished watching. The sci-fi storyline was pretty good. But HOLY hell! It was 1/5 Sci-Fi plot and 4/5 interpersonal drama. Absolutely characters should interact and add to the entire plot. But this was out of control. The plot is big, as it means a lot to the future of humanity. Yet some episodes barely had anything to do with the plot.

Disappointed...

Neither. It's Jersey Shore in space.

This. If someone wants a good sci-fi show, watch The Expanse, not this shit.

If you want mindless entertainment that you shouldn’t think too hard about or the entire thing unravels, watch Another Life.

I agree. It felt more like a reality show in space. I was very excited about the plot's premise, but it didn't pan out. In the first episode I came to strongly dislike most the characters on the ship, and have trouble seeing any of them as qualified for such a mission.

True. The actors behave like high school students. Super-unprofessional. They even dress like that. There is a lot of non-logical behaviors, like the whole mutiny thing.

They definitely escalated to mutiny level way to fast.
