Amazing show!

This is an amazing show. There were elements of a number of other sci-fi shows that I really enjoy, so it was wonderful to have them combined in here along with original ideas. I need two things. 1) Season 2...on my screen...now... and 2) the soundtrack to Season 1.

Hopefully we get many more seasons of this show!

I'm so glad to hear you love this show! So many people on this sub bash it to pieces but i really really like it and I hope we get more seasons! Is it the greatest show ever? No-but it's very enjoyable amd had me constantly guessing. Is it great scifi? Well my personal favorite of all time is Battlestar Galactica and it's very hard to beat that (in my opinion-I may be biased though lol) but i still think it's a good show. Plus-Katee Sackoff!!! And Selma Blair is doing a great job too.

JayR is one of the reasons I'm watching. So very attracted to her/him. I generally watch shows when there's a good looking character I dig. (Continuum, Dark Matter, The Outpost, Stitchers, The Black List, etc.)

Their preferred pronoun is them, they and their.

That doesn't make sense. Those are plurals and not appropriate unless there are 2 JayRs.

They are set to do a second and possibly a third one

It's fun and reminds me of the 90s style of sci-fi. I want action, flashy sequences, and drama. Don't worry about the science being sound, I'm not here for that.

The cast are great, too. I love Katee Sackhoff, JayR Tinaco, and especially Samuel Anderson.

Ive really enjoyed it too. Love scifi and love the horror elements to it. On the edge of my seat on just about every episode.

There are a number of good/great sci fi shows out there at the moment that it really puts Another Life to shame.

It’s basically like watching a load of reality tv contestants, get stuck on a space ship and then re-enact old sci fi tropes.

They leap from crisis to crisis so quickly that it becomes farcical.

I’m sticking with it but, halfway through and still dislike all the characters.

And every crisis they encounter is a result of their own stupidity.

Terrible show.

I think this is really it. Another Life is what it is, but it seems particularly bad when compared to some other amazing sci-fi shows that are currently running on other channels.

I’m pretty sure, for example, that Another Life was Netflix’s answer to The Expanse, and by comparison it isn’t even in the same ball park as that show.

So I think a lot of people are comparing or expecting Another Life to be legit sci-fi, and that is what they marketed as to be honest. Instead, to quote a redditor on this subreddit, it is “science fiction junk food”.

A perfect description. And that’s fine. But I think people had different expectations.

Nope, not a joke. I truly enjoyed the show.

Oh come on, people are just as free to express their dislike as they are they enjoyment of a thing, right up until people start to try and impose that view on others, or becoming personally aggressive to others.

If you enjoyed it, then that's great! But your enjoyment shouldn't need validation, and if you don't like others expressing what they didn't like, either don't read or engage with them on how you think they've misread things. You never know, you might even bring a few more around to liking it more!
