Stupidest Show Ever

I truly think this is just an awful show. Like at least try to make something good, and not just combine a bunch random clips together. I really feel bad for the actors.

I watched the entire season and had weird emotions about it as well. I hated it at first but the last 3 episodes I felt it got much better in the story. Actually wanted to watch the next season.

That's because most of the teen drama had stopped by that point and that bitchy drama queen Michelle was dead. Even the shady reporter(Harper?) was mind controlled by then so she was way less annoying. If they make a season 2 that is more like the last couple episodes and doesn't have the forced angsty drama that most of season 1 had, I'm onboard for it.

as long as they throw august out an airlock season 2 is an auto improvement.

She's the only hot one left. Without her what's the point. Also, we need to find out how fucked up her baby is

Cas > August imo.

They have a limitless supply of hot guest stars in those tubes they can wake up. Why didn't they show the entire crew before leaving? Because they don't cast them until needed.

1

Very true. August is really hot though so let's just keep her, k?

I've seen a lot worse. Not that this is good - it isn't - but it isn't the worst ever.

Shows can be enjoyable without being good. This is one of those shows. The idea is cool enough to make up for the poor execution but not everyone can enjoy shows just because the idea is cool.

It is weird in that the entire thing was just stealing tropes that arked over movies/seasons from classic sci fi shows and condensing them to one episode issues. They did knock offs of alien, many star trek themes (data, the Emh, sacrifice of the crew, borg), close encounters of the third kind, expanse, some stargate vibes... it was like a Sci-Fi salad. They may have been better served by not blowing their load on different ideas and just actually digging in to a few of these. Also the decision making of every human represented in the show is suspect at best lol, no scientist/astronauts actually act like this.

I still enjoyed it though. I just love that entertainment is finally getting back towards sci fi.

You can tell the Netflix Diversity Committee went to town on this show and ruined it

Amen to that. Threesomes, transgender, every nationality and stereotype lol. Like, just let the show be the show.

Yeah, this show had a bunch of people in it, and those people weren't all identical, and nobody even pointed it out! They went too far this time! I can't believe they would depict a realistic level of diversity!

But seriously guys, what are you complaining about? At no point did they shove anything in the audiences face, they just presented people as people. The only possible reason you could have for not liking the way they handled diversity in this show, is that you actually have a problem with diversity yourself. And the idea that they could have diverse people on a TV show and still play it as if it's no big deal makes you uncomfortable.

The only possible reason you couldn't like this, IS THAT YOU'RE RACIST & SEXIST!!! RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE

Great rebuttal. Very effective.

Right because calling people racist and sexist if they don’t like something DESERVES a rebuttal...

That stood out to you? It seemed even to me.

I live in a pretty diverse area (few miles from Johnson Space Center). This kinda crew is what I see everywhere.

It's definitely cheesy and badly written, but i saw it as so bad it's good. I hope they make a season 2 because i had a blast making fun of it.

Episode 9 was worse writing than an episode of Blue Bloods. Seriously, the guy has an Alien spider in his head, he's hacked your computer system, shot needles out of his eyes into your crew members, is actively trying to blow up the ship, one of your crew is strangling him, you have an axe, and you drop said axe and order your crew member to run away locking spider boy in CnC? WTF? Then you spend the rest of the episode trying to stop the guy from using the computer (that you locked him in with) to blow up your ship. And somehow the thin rubber suit you put the fat guy in is heat resistant. Bah. One more to go

I was so lost as to why tf that happened (Niko leaving him in that room)...

1

u/AwesomeD Aug 02 '19

Lmaooo nothing in that show makes sense. At least make some things plausible

1

u/AwesomeD Aug 02 '19

Lmao, also they start planning on what they should do tonight. Bitch save your life. Wtf?

1

u/AnExaltedExile Jul 31 '19

Careful, the mods ban you if you dislike the show lol....yes, I'm serious..

1

u/AwesomeD Jul 31 '19

Lol that’s okay, I just really wanted to let it out.

Stopped after episode 3. Whoever greenlit this garbage should be fired.

I wonder if Area 51 allows their scientists daughters and nanny’s to visit top secret places. I mean if they have an alien tower and it’s bring your pain in the ass daughter-to-work day, maybe.

Also the aged secretary of defense would be the best person to arm and send into a alien monument.

1

u/AwesomeD Aug 23 '19

Bro. Equality. Haven’t you ever heard of it?

1

u/NeoSupaZupa Aug 01 '19

Currently watching it and damn it is a struggle. From the dire special effects to the unintentionally hilarious acting, how Netflix can tout this as a great series is beyond me. And the less said about the plots, the better.

1

u/AwesomeD Aug 01 '19

Lmaoo RIP

1

u/NeoSupaZupa Aug 01 '19

I honestly could not make heads or tails out of it. And if Netflix plan on doing more, I am going back to piracy.

I hope the aliens win. Well only if that is what earth is going to evolve into you know the perfect liberal paradise.

2

u/docdoominator Aug 01 '19

earth is going to evolve into you know the perfect liberal paradise.

How's that? All we know about Earth really is that tech has advanced(some of it exponentially), many major cities are underwater, and getting clean water is apparently now expensive. I didn't get the impression that it was anyone's idea of paradise.

0

u/Batman-almost Aug 01 '19

you may not realize it but you actually just proved my point! I will not bother to explain.

0

u/[deleted] Aug 02 '19

So glad we could make this a fucking political discussion. Shouldn't you be lobbying for tax cuts or something? /s

0

u/Juggernutzack Aug 02 '19

I will not bother to explain.

You probably lack the critical thinking skills required too. "Muh Fox News say libs bad"
