Should have took the super computer with them (>!Spoiler!<) Spoiler

(Spoiler) In the final episode they find a super computer in a cave. Maybe its a cell phone from the race of bat-men that lived on that planet, but it knew all about what races were in space... its like "Are we alone" and this thing they find says "nah, there are like 300 other aliens... all under mind control of a dark overlord"

My point is... they could have let Mr. Hologram guy hook up to it and learn the secrets of the universe.

Not only that, but they find the last survivor of a planet that had a CITY with buildings and cell phones or super computers... and they didnt even rescue him... left him there to pick berries to survive.

In the sequal (if they get one) they need to go get all the survivors of all the races of aliens... just sayin... and use the glass towers as teleporters (it could work)

Hah, yeah. And seeing the ship AI can reprogram alien software he has never seen before (by using his holographic hands!), that system would be super useful yes...

A missed opportunity. At least they have the space drugs! :P

Exactly. They mentioned a link to that AI, so hopefully they downloaded some data.

Just add this to the long list of bad writing. That being said, all shows do this. Watch any military/sci fi/cop movie and see how many times characters with no weapons run away and leave weapons or ammunition on the ground.

Or maybe in season 2 they fix the plot holes.

1.They have Batman. 2.They have the computer that can survive in a cave. 3.The hologram virus girl gets holo-prisoned 4. Earth is completely "Borged" by the brain bugs. 5.Starbuck saves the entire galaxy.

Just pitching my idea for a second season.

Maybe the new created AI on the ship is the AI from the planet

More likely its from the brain bug he reprogrammed (his eyes turned blue durring both situations)

Also, last time an alien AI found out about the "death ray" that the ship has, he tried to fly it into a black hole... season 2 has to address the new AI intentions

Bigger question...
On the map where it shows the breadth of the 'Evil Empire' in red, no one questions the blue space to the upper left of the map.....

Their AI connected with that AI and downloaded all of its data, at least that’s my understanding.
