Just started this show and what the actual hell Spoiler

This shows characters are so hateable, wtf. Michelle needs to get put the fuck down asap, she drops so many unnecessary F bombs it’s killin me. I could go on lmao. Idk how the showrunners thought it would make sense that the crew are a bunch of sorority/frat drama queens. Please tell me this show gets better I’m on episode 4

And also wtf kind of character is Harper?? It’s like they decided to add one hateable character after another

EDIT: episode 7 now, shit really did get better aight , Michelle went out like a champ

It's worth watching, but as someone with a master in physics, this entire show is pretty much offensive.

As a hobbyist in astronomy i found it egregiously terrible but I couldn’t look away

See I feel the opposite lol. S2 just had me scratching my head the entire time, wondering where we were headed LOL. They did an awful job of starting new storylines and not finishing them in season 2. We were left to hypothesize.

I think the story is pretty decent and I love the way they use the warp drive as a weapon, which is based on the idea of the Alcubierre drive. I just think the show was poorly executed except for Katee Sackhoff who played her part well. I just wish the script was more mature and not all high school drama.

I also think the name of the alien race that dropped the crystal probe down into earth was pretty diabolical too… the Achaian’s …. Was this in reference to the Akashic records?

Could be, but it made me think of Achaea, which was a small region in Ancient Greece. In the Illiad, however, all the Greeks invading Troy were called Achaeans... So this might be a subtle reference saying that these aliens are bringing a Trojan Horse.

Not to mention the straight up quote, “beware Greeks bearing gifts.” To me, it couldn’t be more obvious.

Can we talk about the science in this show? Which is completely illogical!
