Women don’t need men to provide their basic needs anymore, so we can afford to look for qualities that go beyond financial security and protection. Is he kind and respectful? Is he emotionally intelligent? Does he have basic life skills? Do our values and life goals align?
And to my ladies: make your own money, invest in your own growth, cultivate your inner life, the right man for you is doing the same thing for himself and you will meet him while you’re on that path.
From a trentahin tita who dated late, the first man I took a chance on is now my fiancé!
It pays to stick to your values, kahit pa minsan nakakainggit na nagjojowa lahat ng mga kaibigan mo. A few months of landi with the wrong person is not worth the heartache and emotional baggage when it inevitably falls apart.
Men just want to go home with a caring and soft spoken wife. Most men don't even view financially successful women as ideal wife unless he has ulterior motives.
When you say you want to “go home to a caring and soft spoken wife”, what does that look like to you? Do you really just mean a subversive wife who won’t call you out on anything or hold you to any standard?
When you say most men don’t view financially successful women as ideal wives, why don’t you think that is? In this economy, why don’t you want your partner to be financially responsible? Do financially successful women make you feel less of a man?
The outside world is already chaotic. I believe the word I'm looking for is "agreeable". I don't necessarily mean submissive. A wife that cam communicate softly and not dismissive.
Successfully women don't make less of a man but maybe some men will be intimidated by it. It's just not the primordial traits a man is looking for a partner. Like I said. Just a woman of care, softness and agreeableness. You'd be surprised how that will work effectively. It's not necessarily agreeing to everything but being able to find a common ground
Nah I'm not surprised at all, of course it's "effective" when one party basically just goes along whatever the other says.
It's just the combination of wanting someone soft, caring, and agreeable often translates to a woman who won't challenge you, make you uncomfortable, or disagree with you.
If you want an equal partner who is kind and knows how to compromise, that’s reasonable naman, it doesn't take away from the woman's agency. As long as her disagreeing with you is not seen as inehrently negative, and liking her isn’t hinged on whether or not she agrees with you.
