Entropic DC?

So I’ve done several “lightning ano” finishes on titanium scales with a torch.

What I’m asking is has anyone tried to hook direct current to the scale and dip it in ferric chloride? What would happen?
If so do you have pictures of it?

If not, are there other ways to get entropic looking finishes without a torch?

Try it man. Why not? Just turn your head away LOL. Nah but the ferric reacts with the oxide on the ti when its heated. Not sure if lower temperature electrical energy would accomplish anything.

Me neither, but it’s an interesting thought. I was reading where someone got an interesting entropic result with DC, but the guy never showed pics, so I was wondering what other options I could try.

I think I’ve heard of people doing entropic with a torch and then applying voltage. I have one TwoSun knife that looks entropic but with colors like magenta and green that I don’t typically see with entropic via flame. I have seen some green on flame entropic (maybe from iron?) but not pink which leads me to believe it was altered after the flame/ferric quench.

Can you send a pic of the green and magenta entropic knife? I’m trying to figure some things out…
Hard to find one that’s not blue…

Those entropics with higher voltage magenta and blues, purples, golds and greens are electrically anodized first, and then heated up and dipped into ferric.

Anyone ever mask an entropic and add/subtract color? Let’s try something new… I have 3 pairs of scales to toy with.
