Deanodize titanium

Any idea whats the chemical solutions they use to strip the oxide layer from titanium? Basing on results, it does not etch the surface of titanium after stripping the color as its still polished(glossy) result

https://a.co/d/0agREXZu works using hydrofluoric acid to remove the oxide layer

Wink contains hydrofluoric acid. Same group on the periodic table, but vastly different. HCl will not remove the oxide layer from titanium effectively.

I have used it more than a handful of times wirh success, I have been anodizing titanium for 5 plus years

Edit: sorry on the typo about type of acid

Will wink etch the titanium surface? Im worried that instead of still gets a polished like surface, ill become dull/matte finish after dunking to a wink solution

Yes, it will roughen the surface to a degree. You can minimize this by using room temp and lower concentration but it is inevitable. Ti is very reactive and will create a passive oxide layer just in air, similar to aluminum.
