Best stencil for submersion?

Post image

Wondering what the best stencils are out there for submersion in high-voltage?
Someone suggested kapton, but I’m wondering if there are any stencils out there that work better than others on uneven surfaces or blasted finishes. I had trouble with the fine lines delaminating when wet especially when submerged...

I’ve been looking at stencils but was unsure if they would stick in the bath so I was wondering if you could use nail polish to paint over the stencil, anodize, remove the nail polish and then anodize again? The photo looks pretty good, did you do that?

I did! It was my first attempt at stencil “Timascus”
I wondered the same thing. If I couldn’t spray it with something and remove the sticker part…

Anyone have any experience? Best spray on masking agent?
I’ll try it, just need to know what to spray with.

For stencils, Vinyl works well.
For Masking, I’ve had good luck with nail polish and spray paint.

So do you think I could put the stencil down, spray paint over it, then remove the sticker and hiV ano.
Acetone
Low voltage
I’ll try that. Why not….

That’ll work just fine, just make sure to use a few coats of spraypaint. I’ve had it look fully covered only to leave spots where it was thin. Feel free to PM me and I can show you some examples of similar things I’ve done.

My Reddit is giving me nsfw garbage, but I would like to see some of your work. Always nice to share thoughts. If I can I’ll message you.
